That's a good one, Sage! And I would have to say that Jane Austen, in many of her books, has also taught me to never settle for something when you want something else.

"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" has taught me to always question what my parents and society in general tried to make me believe as a child, especially all the prejudices they were willing to pass on to me.

Well, I have a silly one. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay taught me how to make really good scrambed eggs. I'm really serious too, I read the part about how good Sammy's eggs were, and the next morning I tried them that way, and they were perfect.
