I just finished Mansfield park by Jane Austen. It´s my first book what I have read by Jane Austen. It is really different from other books what I have read. But it wasn´t bad, it was... different, but I think I like it Mansfield Park is not the easiest Austen novel to begin with so if you liked it, I'm sure you're really going to enjoy her other novels! And I've just finished A Great and Terrible Beauty

Karin, I agree with Jefie about Mansfield Park. I'm reading it right now and, while it's the last Austen I have yet to finish, I can see how it's a little difficult. If you liked this, you'll love the others. Sense and Sensibility is my favourite.

Yes, I hope. I want to buy Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice. About Mansfield Park - I think that it was maybe quite long and sometime it was boring. But I like the end.

Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. It was a little pretentious , but enjoyable nonetheless.

Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. It was a little pretentious , but enjoyable nonetheless. Have you read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close? I love both of his books, but ELaIC is definitely my favorite. (and it's less pretentious too ) Yesterday I read a great kid's chapter book called "Moxie Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little." It's by Peggy Gifford. I love it, it was very cute and had a wonderful Voice.

In Austen's novels, sometimes it can get a little boring, but she always has a great ending to it, so if you can bear it, it's best to get through any boring part and keep going

ella minnow pea what is that about the title sounds cute! Ella Minnow Pea (like how English speakers say L-M-N-O-P fast when they recite the alphabet and so sounds like "EllaMinnowPea") is about a country which bans the residents from using certain letters of the alphabet under threat of punishment. The story is told in a series of letters which get crazier the more letters are banned! I really quite enjoyed it.
