Though technically it's Kristie's turn to post, i just wanted to note my most recent book purchase: for my sister's upcoming 19th b'day, i got her the official shooting script of "Naploean Dynamite", coz she loves that movie. Hehehehe.. there's a "liger" on the cover.. hehehe!

It is really great, and I just found out that it's out in paperback, so I may just go buy it and read it again or something
Yeah, I took another couple books from the advanced reading copy shelf at work: Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier (looks really fantasy like, but that's okay every now and then for me) and The Welsh Girl by Peter Ho Davies (WWII german POW camp set in Wales with a romance popping up...sounds like Summer of My German Soldier almost) I love Juliet Marillier. Have you read anything else by her? No I haven't read anything of her's but this book sounds like it'll be interesting, so if it's good I'll give more of her books a chance. And maybe even if this one isn't a great one I'll try some more...

I stopped by a French book store today and got two new books: Boris Vian's L'Écume des Jours (Foam of the Daze) and Sade's Les Crimes de l'Amour (The Crimes of Love).

You don´t like buying books? So, do you check them all out of the library? My first day of uni and guess what I found? The book store! And it´s next to my building/faculty. I bought Chain of Command by Seymour M. Hersh for half price! I´m weak, I know.

Today I boughtthese books from the Salvation army Phaedo by Plato Bully by Jim Schutze - There was a movie in the 90's about this book. Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson and the best one I found was The Rolling Stone Record Review by the editors of rolling stone. The book basically contains all the reviews of rock and roll albums from 1967-1970. Goes from the end of the Beatles to Bob Dylan. :-)

I really liked Plato's republic...so hopefully Phaedo will be good too.

I've read Just Like Heaven a long time ago. I can't say I really liked it, it was just OK for me. I haven't seen the movie either, have you seen it?

Yup, I´ve seen it and I thought it was a cute movie to watch on a rainy day. Plus I really like Reese Witherspoon. The book was only 40 eurocents and it sat there alone and sad because somebody had given it away. I took pity on it

Well, someone has to look out for these lonely books Let me know what you think once you've read it, the book is supposed to be quite different from the movie.
