So, I hope this is something new and exciting !! I currently love books about books, like Special topics in calamity physics, the shadow of the wind or the Thirteenth Tale. Does anybody know about other books where there are lots of books mentioned? Sounds weird. Answers would make me very happy ;D!

There's "So Many Books, So Little Time" by Sara Nelson, and of course "Reading Lolita in Teheran", which will be our next book club book. If you can lay your hands on it, "That Summer in Paris" by Morley Callaghan talked a lot about the books of the Lost Generation (Joyce, Hemingway, etc.).

The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. It takes place in a literary world and brings Jane Eyre to life. He also wrote other novels which I believe also involve books.

Kind of like Callaghan's response to Hemingway's A Moveable Feast.

I second the Thursday next series I think there are many books on books, people are often complaining about it in reviews. I don´t get them.

The Polysyllabic Spree and Housekeeping Vs. The Dirt by Nick Hornby document his flow of books he's bought and books he's read. They are very good, and you get a lot of great things to put on your TBR list (as if any of us have trouble find things to add to our list!).

I liked High Fidelity and About a boy, so this one might be interesting.

I think I´m the only person who doesn´t like high fidelity I couldn´t relate to the character at all and I just felt like it wasn´t my generation. But I love his other novels and his column so I´m sure it´s the content and not his writing I can´t think of any books on books right now but I can recommend the band "books on books"

I'm really enjoying Book Lust by Nancy Pearl. I initially avoided this book, because I never have a problem finding books to read, and also have heaps of books I own that need to be read. So I figured I didn't need this book because it must be for people who didn't know what to read next. But then I started looking at it, and I really enjoy reading what she has to say about the books, and which ones she mentions in each category. I like seeing which ones I've read, and which ones I would add to her lists. And yes, I have found even MORE new books to read, but oh well. I want to get "More Book Lust" soon too. Also, I bought Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader by Anne Fadiman. This is a small little book of essays, and I love it. It's perfect for any book lover. She writes about merging her books with her husbands books, the difference between keeping your books in pristine condition vs. loving them to pieces, and much more. Very fun quick read.
