I read a few of her books when I was in highschool. They were enjoyable but not what I woudl call great literature. The only one that I liked was Granny Dan...it was about a Russian ballet dancer during the revolution.

I've never read anything by Steel. One of my friends did and she thinks they're easy to read but not very interesting, I even don't know what Steel's books she read...

I just find them repetative like V.C Andrews. If you read one once in a while I guess it's not so bad. I just didn't like them, and thought there were better writers. Her books to me seem to appeal to older women. That's just my opinion tho.

My mom loves Danielle Steel, so I have read a few of them when it was all I could find in our house. But I did really liked "The Gift" - it surprised me.

Uuuuh, don't read one of those! There are so many other great books you should read. You would really waste your time with this non-sense stories. I read the first chapters of one some time ago and only because I work in a bookstore and should know what they are about.
