Has anyone read the vampire novels by Anne Rice? Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, and The Tale of the Body Thief.
I'm thinking of getting the boxset.

I haven't, but I've always wanted to. I've always been a bit of a genre fiction snob, but I do love vampire stuff, a side effect from a past buffy addiction!

They seem to be quite good since one of my friends is crazy about them and she has great taste Haven´t tried them myself though.

I've read The Vampire Lestat for a pop novel class in college, it was actually quite good, it reads very fast too! Syl's read them all and really enjoyed them.

I've only read Interview, I started the The Vampire Lestat back when I was like 14, just never finished it. I plan reading them all though.

I've read Interview with the Vampire , The Vampire Lestat , and i'm currently reading The Queen of the Damned (seems to be nothing like the movie so far) .. but I jumped into vampire books after reading The Dark Tower series which mentioned the book Salem' Lot briefly , but struck my curiosity to know if the books we're actually somehow connected .. anyways .. Anne Rice's books can very much suck you in! --Some other vampire books you might enjoy are : Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer and Eclipse which is coming soon! =)
