It's great that audiobooks work for you, lostinwonders. I'm reading Farthing by Jo Walton, I quite love it so far. My commute is sucky for reading though, too short and I have to change trains, so I only manage a few pages very day.

A few pages is better than nothing, Bina! The school year is starting up again, which means limited reading time for me. A few pages will seem like a victory!
I'm currently reading Khaled Hosseini's And the Mountains Echoed.

I'm also listening to Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens in Italian, it's a free audiobook and I find the narrator a little annoying, that may be the reason why I'm not enjoying it that much. I have begun it a long time ago now and I haven't finished it yet also. I had difficulties to get into the story I think (if I remenber well). It was not as easy as it was for Peter and Wendy but I want to give it another try this summer. So, I will tell you if it is better this time Let me know what you think. I've only one chapter left, so I'll probably finish it before the end of Summer (I started it on February) since I have some knitting to do.

That is a great idea I don't often knit but I have begun a scarf last winter for my sister and I promise that it will be ready for the next one... and since it is her birthday next week, it will be nice if I can finish it

Also while watching TV, if I'm knitting something easy. I love knitting because I find it very relaxing and it's really nice to be able to wear things I make.

Yes, I agree: it is nice to be able to wear things "homemade" But I have always find it hard to make something which is really good... And most of the time, I think I can have something better for a lower price in a shop Nevertheless, last winter, I find this collection : www.katia.com/aprende.php?tipo=ALGO_DIFERENTE&lng=FR . It is easy and the result is great

I am halfway through "Siberian Education" by Nicolai Lilin, it's quite interesting as it mixes fiction with facts and history...and I have to admit that it's a part of history I'm not quite familiar with!

It is an abridged version published by L'Ecole des Loisirs, a very good publisher of books for children and teenagers. It is very well-written. So, I really want to read the unabridged version in English soon

I have just started reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. I have been meaning to read it for ages. So, in a recent attempt to read more classics, I finally picked it up.

Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie and Wars, Guns and Votes: Democracy in Dangerous Places by Paul Collier. I started Midnight's Children a while ago, but it hasn't captured me as well as I thought it would. But I find Wars, Guns and Votes interesting, it also lacks something, but I do find Colliers ideas very exciting.

Yes, I think they shortened it actually But I am really planning on reading the integrale version in the future. Of course, all the fishing gear descriptions must be uneasy to read... I hope it will be ok (since I manage reading The Old Man and the Sea even if it is mostly filled with fishing terms)
