Well Mansfield Park sounds just as good as any to me. I'm not going to read 1984, so I don't care when we start it, but if you guys want to get going on 1984 first, that would make sense. Although maybe we don't have to wait for the 1984 discussion to be finished since everyone seems to read the book quicker and the discussions always peter out at the end anyway?

Ok well I think Isa is coming back on the 28th, so maybe we should make the next one start on the 1 May? I don't think the current SAS discussion ends till April 25th or something anyway right?
I don't mind which one goes first, or if they're on at the same time or anything. Maybe we should do a poll about whether people want them on at the same time or which one first or something like that?

Mansfield Park is the second best choice for me, because it's the only JA book our local library has. And 1st May sounds really good for me too!

I don't mind which JA book comes next.. i haven't read Mansfield park yet.. so that would be a good one.. if I decide to participate though.. because I didn't really have time for the last one.. or actually I just wanted to read something I choose again.. I do think we should do 1984 first.. since that one has been around for a little while...

My vote is for Mansfield Park on May 1. By the way... how long do we have to read the book?

Before we start whatever book we read next, someone has to take charge and be the discussion leader--or co-leaders if there's more than one. It doesn't really matter if you've read the book before or not...I think lol

I will volunteer to be a co-leader. I've had an incredibly busy spring so far (literally had company visiting every weekend of March and April except 1) but starting in May my schedule is wide open. I'm looking forward to reading Mansfield Park and would enjoy helping lead the discussion.

That's great! I've done a quick schedule, does it suit you?

Have you guys thought about which book you wanted to do next? It seems like it's a bit hard to keep up with two book discussions at once so perhaps we'd better do either a JA book or a general book next time. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think we should do the general book and the JA book separately so that people can participate in both.
My suggestion for the next JA book is Emma. I think that people had trouble with Mansfield Park and didn't enjoy it as much so maybe a nice light one like Emma would be nice?

I agree, it's not easy to keep up with two books discussions.
There are Northanger Abbey, Emma and Pride & Prejudice left, right? Emma sounds good to me.

My suggestion is Pride & Prejudice. I'm dying to re-read it again, and I already have a copy I ordered from Amazon so... it'd be great if that would be the next JA book chosen.
