Memccart, does your TBR shelf actually stop you from buying books? haha I could do that with my bookshelf but it probably wouldn't stop me from buying more. It seems to be working. The only books we've gotten since we did that were super cheap books from the library sale or free books from my legal research rewards programs. Or else we are just extra poor right now and wouldn't buy books anyway.

You're all so organized! Your pictures inspired me to rearrange my books as well! I have one (way too small) bookcase and one shelf on the wall where I keep my books. (And some piles on the floor and about 10 unfinished books on my bedside table...)

Hehe, yes i find that looking at these pics provides me with good incentive to rearrange things every now and then, so as to get better use of space out of my poor little goraning bookcase!

I'll make some pictures of the room I am in now, loads of books, but they aren't novels.. they are books about cars, and engines.. (my dad has a lot of books) and when you've seen this, I don't think you need to re-organize..

haha, kind of, except they are all about things I'm not very interested in... I don't really care about (classic) cars... and planes.. and trains.. and boats...

Great Scott! that's a ton! When I go home in July I'll take some pictures of my parent's library too - they have tons as well! I think pictures of our parent's collections too might be little insights as to where we get our love for books from

Oh my!! That is quite a collection!! Good for him though.. Most males don't really like to read they tend to just sit around and watch tv..
