Ok, this is going to come across as so very crazy-random that you may wonder what i have taken, but apart from a few chocolate seashells and a need to experiment with my new camera, there is nothing fishy here! It is as it sounds; take pics of your books - be it your bookcase or wherever/however you store/categorise your books, your different genres etc. - it's just a nice (albeit odd) way to share our love of reading even more and in an original form! ;D or, at least, that's how i'm justifying the idea! I'll start, so everybody can affirm i'm leading the craziness! My bookcase i51.photobucket.com/albums/f371/NEHOMAS/Bookcasewhole.jpg?t=1167721837My 'Anne" section i51.photobucket.com/albums/f371/NEHOMAS/Anne.jpg?t=1167721885My HP section i51.photobucket.com/albums/f371/NEHOMAS/Haz.jpg?t=1167721946My "classics" section i51.photobucket.com/albums/f371/NEHOMAS/theclassics.jpg?t=1167722009My "poetry" section i51.photobucket.com/albums/f371/NEHOMAS/poetry.jpg?t=1167722069EDITORIAL NOTE: this is actually a common thread to feature on sites concerning books.. especially HP sites. I just find that where you love your books, you love how you place them and organize them and how you don't place or organize them and how it's all lovely chaos, or how you like certain ones to always be near at hand etc..... i hope that makes some sense, and subsequently the point of this thread makes some sense!

That´s so cool! I´m a bit medieval, I still only have a normal camera and no scanner. I´ll ask some friends to lend me theirs.

I know, I love it! I couldn't quite believe it when he delivered it to my place! I've placed an order for another one because, well, as you can see there's no room left in that one

I just reorganised mine to try and take some but they turned out all blurry because of the jammed in spot my bookshelf's in between the edge of my desk and the wall. but I'll try again later. They do look really good guys!

Finally had a chance to take pictures for this, very fun idea! My books are still settling in and are not categorized very well yet. I had just 1 bookcase in my bedroom, and then we bought three more and put them in the guest room, so I'm still getting them settled. I don't have all of my books in NYC, most are still at my parents house where they will have to stay until I have a house and not an apartment. Sorry there are so many pictures, I took a close up of each shelf so you can actually see what is on it! Here's the guest room with the 3 main cases: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1782.jpgHere is my beloved Vonnegut shelf img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1783.jpgShelf with some of my F. Scott Fitzgeralds and other favorite writers img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1784.jpgMy Bill Bryson books and random paperbacks: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1785.jpgParis Review/Poems/Anthology Shelf: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1793.jpgMostly YA books, and my Roald Dahl collection: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1792.jpgRandom hardcover shelf: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1791.jpgMy graphic design books: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1790.jpgMostly classics: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1789.jpgTravel books and random books: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1788.jpgMy Harry Potter Shelf img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1787.jpgMy Children's book collection: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1786.jpgMy bookcase in my room, which REALLY needs reorganizing: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1778.jpgShelf of a lot of my favorite books: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1779.jpgand finally, the stack of barnes and noble classics I keep on my desk: img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/chowmeyow/things/CAM_1780.jpg*you might have noticed all the cigar boxes, but I want to make sure to say that I do not smoke cigars, haha. I love how beautiful cigar boxes are, and I go to this store where they give me empty ones for free, and I keep things in them, or turn them into things for gifts.

wowweeeeeeee~ That's quite a collection you have there; lovely lovely lovely! I'm glad that people are participating in this whacky thread, but on the other hand, seeing the collections of others is making me rather jealous and ashamed of my teeny tiny bookcase.... *OH~! Is that a big stuffed toy Hedwig on your bookcase? That's adorable - i have a little one but she's been missing for some time *sniif* I must find her before the launch of the final book or my celebrating will not be complete, i tell you!
