Mine is Clarissa by Samuel Richardson, the longest novel ever written in English and yes, I've read it all! My copy has 1536 pages, font size 8. And no, it's not that good I had to read that whole thing for an English class. HORRIBLE!

I think it also has to do with translations. The English (paperback) Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban is 560 pages but my (paperback) French one is 462.

My longest one is Moby Dick in German. It has 1114 pages (it's very small, that's why...). The second longest is Anna Karenina with about 990 pages.

I think it's between Anna Karenina and/or the Complete Jane Austen

Hmmm, I think for me it is either Mists of Avalon or Anna Karenina.

my copy of anna karenina has only 864 pages. it would be one of the longest, but atlas shrugged (1200) and the count of monte cristo (1400+) beat it I still don't understand how your The Count of Monte Cristo is that long. I've got the book or actually the books (the book is broken into two books) and The Count of Monte Cristo I +II =only 1213 pages,.

Sometimes it has to do with what font they use...
