I really should read more books from dutch writers though.. I'm very disloyal to my own countries literary world! Me, too ;D

I'm not only disloyal to Estonian literature, but I don't like any of the Estonian authors, except A.H.Tammsaare.

I read books only in English, but as I'm trying to work up to near fluency in Spanish, I'm going to try to start reading more books in Spanish.

Same with me, I like originals. Most of the time I read in English, except when I can't get the book in English, so I read it in Hebrew. I read very little Spanish.

I read books in finnish, but also in english and I think I have read (or at least tried ) few books in swedish too. I have read Shakespeare and Jane Austen in english, because those Wordsworth books are so cheap books are too expencive It is fun to compare the translation to the original, specially in poetic works, like Shakespeares plays or Cantebury tales. The language is unbeliavable, how it has been twisted and played with in order to get it match the original.

^I know! We read a lot of German Romantic poems in English last year, and it was amazing how they still get the meaning through and get it to rhyme while still translating it.

I read in Dutch, English and French. I always prefer reading the original language.
I want to read more in french. It's my mother tongue, as is dutch, but somehow french literature doesn't appeal to me, or I just haven't found what I'm looking for. I love speaking it but enjoy reading it less, apparently. I also want to start reading in German, but I guess I'll have to soon for school!

I only speak English unfortunately. I can read a little bit in Spanish, but that's about it. [/color]
