I ended up having to spend $125 for the collector's edition of Tales of Beedle the Bard. I didn't realize they were limited and that I would have to order it early and that was all Ben wanted for Christmas. So I had to spend extra to get it on Ebay. I think this prepared me for having kids and trying to get that hard to find item each year. So that is the most expensive (non-textbook) book that I've purchased.
