I live in village where is about 3,500 people. There is not even high school. People ask what I wanna do when I "grow-up", my first answer is get a far away from here. This is not like Stars Hollow.

I was just in the coffeeshop where i go every day, and it was really funny because my fellow townsfolk got behind the counter and started pouring their own coffee and toasting their own bagels, and it reminded me me so much of Gilmore Girls. Thought I'd share some smalltown charm.

lol, that's a cute story! We don't really have diners up where I live, I guess the closest thing would be a cafe... but I remember going to a small diner in Portland, Maine, and it sort of reminded me of Luke's place. You could tell that the same crowd went there practically every day, and I loved it! Food was really good too

Stars Hollow is based on the small town of Washington Depot, CT. I love the idea of Stars Hollow so much that I hope to visit CT, and maybe W D. Maybe I will even move there? I come from England, so I am used to cute small towns, but not quite like Stars Hollow.

I would love to live in Stars Hollow, to have close friends like that, a Luke's [and I wouldn't mind having Luke ] I think the smallness makes it so charming and Stars Hollowy.

I am so glad I found this place. [laughing.] I was so disappointed when I researched it and found out stars hollow was a made up place... but have been dead set to find somewhere just like it since then. I would definately live there.... but then again, i think the place is absolutely perfect.

The bad part is though, I think if we ever lived in a small town, we would hold it up to the standards of Stars Hollow, and I really don't think anything is like that

I lived in a small town a lot like Stars Hollow, which I think I may have mentioned before. It had its charms but I felt so stifled. You had to drive 45 minutes to get anywhere of remote interest.
One thing I really hate about Stars Hollow is how class-conscious everyone is. This is a very New England phenomenon in general.

I love Stars Hollow I honestly dont know if I would want to live there or not.
I live in a small capital city out in the suburbs. But its very well routed with buses so you can get anywhere in the city in an hour. It only takes 30 mins to get to the very centre from my house. I wish I lived more in the centre though because we have nothing like cinemas or clothes, books shops within walking distance. Only supermarkets so I cant really walk anywhere. But I've lived here my whole life, Im very much a city girl. I like the idea of living in a place where you know everybody and being more close with your neighbours. There's definitely an aspect of small town america that fascinates me. I love the lukes diner and american diners Last year my dad and I went to see a movie called 'the last picture show' its about 3 teenagers who live in a small town in the 70s and how theres nothing to do and so few opportunities there.
