It stinks that the book industry is like that. It makes me wish I would have decided to be a librarian instead. There's a job in a great environment, good hours usually, and great benefits. Very decent pay too, depending on what library. But the nice thing is, you need a Masters and you can get it with any undergrad degree, so it's never too late really. My mom just got hers and she's almost 50. So that will always be in the back of my mind. That's what I had decided to do. But I went in to be a library technician, which is like a librarian without the Masters. I wasn't ready to spend more time in a university setting.

I hope its okay for me to bring back a topic thats so old. Anyway I absoloutley love this book, I hardly read anything last year but it was one of the few things I read that I really loved. I never read a book thats so disturbing yet intriguing at the same time. I am curious to know how much of it is fiction and how much is fact. As for the film, I may watch it some time but I agree I cant see how the story would translate well into film. I started reading Dry I think I read about 100 pages but I didnt pull me in, in the same way. I bought Sellevision a few months ago but its one of many books still on my TBR list

I actually think the movie is good. They have done some changes from the book of course, but to me it wasn't a disappointment, it was amazingly weird and quite funny
