I can speak Czech, of course and my second language is English, so I should be able to make a simple sentence at least. My third language is French, but I'm not good at it, I think. And I can speak a little bit Bulgarian, because my dad is from Bulgaria, so I have my family there. I want to improve my English and French and I want to learn Latin (I know, maybe a little bit stupid).

I always forget that most of you speak a language other than English in your everyday life - you are just all so good at it. I'm very impressed with all of your language abilities... I totally agree with Michelle! I forget English isn't most of your 1st language, and you all write it great. From what I understand, and I could be wrong, but 2nd languages don't seem to be pushed here in the States like they are in other countries. That's a bit frustrating and very sad. I wish that it was mandatory that every student has to take a 2nd language all through school. I took 2 years of German in high school, but don't remember anything but to ask "Can I get a glass of water?" I would Love Love Love to learn Italian and French.

I forgot Spanish! What an awesome language, it can sound so friggin' stunning. Italian also used to be one of my faves, but I don't know anymore. I might want to go to some open uni language class or something, since I'm not in school at the moment. To see if I could still learn something.

I agree with both Michelle and Italianlane. I often forget that everyone doesn't speak English as a first language. In the States, bilingualism isn't that stressed. If anything, people are encouraged to take Spanish because Hispanics are the largest minority in the country.

I have three years Swedish behind and three years ahead. But I think grammar is easy, and I understand it pretty good, but I can't speak it. I feel like everything that I have learn is how to say my name. Maybe little more.

I can speak Finnish of course, it's my native language. My second language is maybe English but I can speak Swedish as well as English. I travel a lot in Sweden. And I've studied French seven years but it's really difficult language.
I would like to learn Italian!

I'd really like to take an (extra) class of German (or France or Spanish) at university but they've been cancelled also for the next semester (as for the last two semesters). Apparently uni doesn't want students to learn a language they can't speak.

I really wish I had time to take a crash course in Italian before our trip to Italy, it'll be my first time traveling to a country where I don't speak the language. I'm sure we'll get by speaking English, but it'd be nice to at least speak some Italian...
