I finally saw Casablanca for the first time last night. A lot of my friends said that it doesn't live up to the hype, but I thought it was incredible. Such a powerful story - I can imagine how moving it would be to see it when it came out in 1942, during the war.

It's a Barbara Streisand/Robert Redford movie from the 70s. It's about two very different people falling in love and trying to make it work. It takes place in the 30s and 40s and deals with current events like communism and the war at the same time. It was really good - I liked it.

I recently saw "The Last King of Scotland." It was a really, really, REALLY good film. It was one of those rare movies that you come out of saying, "I agree with all the hype."

Nick and I watched the first two Bourne movies this last weekend, and we're going to see Bourne Ultimatum tonight. They're pretty good movies, but I like the first best so far.

I saw "Once" tonight. I absolutely loved it. It instantly became one of my very favorite movies. It was so real, and incredible. The music was amazing. I'm so glad the soundtrack is on its way to me from amazon. I highly recommend this movie!

The Bourne Ultimatum was really good! I can't decide if I like the first or third movie best, but the second is my least favourite.

Yesterday I watched a few movies I've never seen before:
-Mr. Deeds Goes to Town with Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur...I personally like it better than the remake with Adam Sandler (Mr. Deeds) -The Producers with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane...I thought it was interesting and very unlike the original (but I didn't like that much either) -I Think I Love My Wife with Chris Rock...not good, enough said

The Importance of Being Earnest... the one with Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon, it was good, I liked a live play I saw of it better (it was funnier I think) but this was still very enjoyable.
