I agree, I thought Jon Stewart did an excellent job, it's not his fault Hollywood can't take a joke Because of that I was all prepared to not like Ellen, but she ended being really good too ;D

Pan's Labyrinth. It was a lot different than I thought it would be, but I liked it a lot.

Pan's Labyrinth. It was a lot different than I thought it would be, but I liked it a lot. I love that movie! That's the kind of film that keeps you thinking for days after you've seen it, there's so much stuff to analyze! On Saturday I saw "La faute à Fidel" (Blame it on Fidel). I really enjoyed it, it was a funny and intelligent movie, and the little girl who plays the main character was amazing!

The 97 version of Emma, credited as 'Jane Austen's Emma'. It's one of those cases where, like Deep Impact and Armagedon, or The Illusionist and The Prestige, you regret that two similar films (or in this case, VERY similar films, hehe) had to come out so close to each other, as one always overshadows the other, and it's usually the lesser, more star-studded and commercial one (i speak more of Armagedon there than The Prestige, which i like very much) Although i am very used to the 96 Emma and i enjoy it immensely, this version i felt was also very good and possibly more loyal to the book. Kate Beckinsdale was more suitable to play the lead IMO as she was a fair bit younger than Gwyneth Paltrow had been (or at least, certainly looked it)and you could really see where arrogant youth could be her undoing. Samantha Morton was a very sweet and cute Harriet, Olivia William's is a beautifully aloof and at time tragic Jane Farifax and Mark Strong's Knightley is quite a fierce and direct man in debate as oppossed to Jeremy Northam, but he's very respectable and kindly all the same. It's a shame this version was never as noted as it's predecessor.

I enjoyed this version better than the Gwenyth Paltrow version as well.

I watched "Because I Said So" this week. It was really poorly written, but I was in the mood for a 100% chick flick, and I liked all the people in the movie. It was ok, I'm glad I saw it and I was entertained. The love interest was really cute and sweet too - and that helped. I also saw The Simpsons Movie this weekend, and I loved it.

I recently watched "Sleepy Hollow" for the first time, and I absolutely loved it! I don't usually watch horror films, but I adore Johnny Depp, so I had been meaning to see it. Tim Burton did a wonderful job, as usual, and the scenery, film score, script, and acting was superb. It had a great combination of suspense, mystery, action, and subtle romance. Johnny Depp was an awesome Ichabod Crane, and Tim Burton's adaption of the classic tale was brilliant! Now I'm trying to watch all of Johnny's movies that I havn't already seen, so I'm reading Chocolat before I rent it
