It's nice to read this thread! My favorite French sentence is "Excuse-moi, je suis en retard." because I'm always late.

Merci beaucoup, Isa. J'ai voyagé à Paris sur mes vacances avec ma famille. Nous nous sommes amusés.

I wish my parents (or just my mom actually) teached me Indonesian while growing up.. but she'd tried with my brother.. but it wasn't working, so she never tried with me.. That's exactly my problem! But not with mom, with dad actually. My dad is from Bulgaria and my parents (mainly my dad) wanted to learn my brother czech and even Bulgarian. So they talked to him in two languages, but it didn't work, he started stammering, so they didn't do it with me. And about French.. I'm learning it at school for two years and I can nothing! Really Maybe only: Je m'appelle Karin, Ca va? Ca va. And Voulez vous couchez avec moi ce soir and I'm not sure of the spelling. It's hard language for me. I would appreciate a little help, because we have really bad teacher (nobody in our class can speak French a little bit more than me.. and then it's starting to be a problem, don't you think? ), but I don't know where to start.. hard hard hard.

This is so neat! I always wanted to learn French and Latin.... but my school only taught Spanish. I took it for 7 years and still don't know enough to read a book! (Probably because we had different teachers and they would go over the same things! Conjugating verbs, numbers, the alphabet, hello, bathroom, etc.)

And Voulez vous couchez avec moi ce soir I'm feeling same way, but I only have three lessons behind me. I always tought that people just say it's hard, but it's hard. I still have 15 lessons in this course and eight courses more, so I just hope I will learn something. But anyway, this topic is very handy.

I feel very lucky to have learned French first and then English, because I think French grammar is more difficult to understand. Not to mention that it also makes it easier to learn Spanish now because the grammar is very similar to French

In my French class today, "you should hit her car with your car" was translated as "frapper elle's voiture."
