haha That would stink being at a baseball game when it's that cold. Friday night I had to sleep in a tent and it got down to the low 40s. Very cold...Do you like baseball a lot, memccart? I could never get into it...it bores me Yeah, I love baseball. I'm a little sad to be away from Detroit for the summer. But I'll be back in time for the playoffs, so it will be ok.

Glad you'll make it back in time. I assume the Tigers are your team, then? One of my friend's dad LOVES the Tigers and we live close enough for them to go to some games, so that makes him happy

San Francisco is cold. I haven't been warm yet today. I don't think it got higher than 53 degrees.

There's really wild weather here at the moment, very strong winds. Some of our plants have been completely uprooted and there are palm tree branches scattered everywhere on the ground. Also Newcastle is a harbour side city and in town there has been a a shipwreck and an oil spill on the beach closest to the harbour (there's a picture of this area on some of the postcards I'm sending, it's called Nobby's). Very intense.

Also I just found out my university is closed due to flooding. The thunderstorms that keep going overhead are really annoying since I have so much research to do for my essay and I have to keep unplugging my laptop from the internet and the power supply so it doesn't get zapped. I suppose the good thing about having a laptop though is that I can unplug it from the internet and power supply but still be able to word process from the battery power. It would be even more annoying if I were using a normal computer I couldn't do that on

Yikes, that doesn't look too good, Dom. Is that normal weather for June? I mean, do you get a lot of storms usually, but perhaps not that big?

I never remember having a storm this big. One of our state politicians has declared it a natural disaster. More people have been swept off the roads into creeks and rivers and things and places are being evacuated. There was a mudslide about 4 streets away from my house and all the houses along that street have been evacuated. Many people haven't been able to get home from work and are stuck in the pubs and clubs and that kind of thing. Phil's dad has been stuck at a club in town for the past 5 hours... A lot of the roads around my house are cut off but I live in quite a hilly area so it's highly unlikely my house will be flooded. It's pretty full on! I can't even remember having a storm close to this big and it seems to be getting worse too!

I hope things get back to normal really soon! Though comes to think of it, I don't think I would mind getting stuck in a pub
