On my holiday in Sydney I did far too much shopping, but most of it was for stuff I kind of needed. I bought three long sleeved shirts, a jacket and a pair of tights because the weather is getting colder over here and I found last year I didn't have enough winter clothes (but had no money to buy any). I also bought a notebook and a copy of the lady and the tramp on dvd (love that movie).

i bought a bike off ebay. i needed an old crappy cheap bike to leave in the city where I study (gives me an extra hour of sleep every morning), but i kept missing the bike markets in my area, so i had to turn to ebay. fortunately, i don't have to pick it up in a far-away town, but coincidentally 2 neighborhoods away from where i live

Room with a view, is that based on Forster's novel?

yup it's based on that. It has Maggie Smith and Judi Dench in it. I haven't seen it before but I'm looking forward to watching it

I upgraded from an ipod mini to a 30g ipod video. I love it. Daniel bought it for me for finishing school!

I'd love to have an ipod but I bought a cheaper mp3 player nearly 2 years ago. My best friend has got an ipod and she let me use it sometimes.
I went shopping yesterday because I need some summer clothes and shoes. I bought a dress and I found a pair of ballerina (with stars on them) which I really like but I did not buy them because they were red with white stars and I wasn't sure about the colour.

that's a good point. I have a really small mp3 player but I only really listen to it when I'm on a bus and people are being too noisy for me to read or on long train/car rides. It only holds 30 songs so I get sick of everything on it pretty quickly. I got it off ebay brand new from some special warehouse for 25 bucks.

You're right Kristie. One of my friends bought a 8GB iPod and it is always half empty...I can't understand why she didn't bought a smaller one, how much it is useful if it's empty?? I've bought my mp3 player (which is 512MB and holds about 105 songs) because I knew I would use it, I listen to it when I travel by bus or train, at first I wanted to connect it to audiocassette player of my car, but it broke down a week after I bought mp3 player and it can't be repaired or replaced because it's too old (eheh..very lucky). I also listen to my mp3 player when I'm reading or studying at uni because there're always so many people around there and I can concentrate better with music (even better if it is a movie soundtrack) than with people talking and other noises.

I have the 30 GB ipod and I only have about 11 full, so I guess I'm wating space, but I can always add more.
I use it mostly in the car. I don't have a cd player and I hate te radio, so I use my old discman car hookup and play it through the tape deck. I also use it when I'm studying in a noisy place. Or running around the libraries at work.
