I did a summer job until about two weeks ago. There is this new system in our region that enables pupils to rent their school books for one year so they only have to pay a small fee instead of buying everything. The books were delivered by all the local bookstores. I (and many other people) had to register them to some special computer program and distribute them to the different schools and classes. We were done in less time than expected (only two weeks) and i earned 650€ which pay for my upcoming vacation. This week I also started giving private lessons in French as a permanent job.

Since I experienced that I'm not able think only of studying and university, I'm starting to work at library three days a week (instead of one, as I've done since October). Having a job makes me feel good.

I finally got a job! Having been unemployed and sincerely bored since mid-June, I'm now a Spanish teacher at a local junior high. Not exactly my dream job, but a job nonetheless, and I look forward to beginning

I assume most people on here are students. I used to have a job in catering honestly it was fun to start with but its very stressful an boring- because one moment it will be super busy the next it will be really quiet- it was a casual job which was good to start with but it got really bad- like I was basically at the beck and call of my employer. I was having t So I am now looking for a new job- that is regular hours but is actually educational or interesting like in a museum or a library or even an admin related job would be better- its not so easy to find jobs like that here. And Im hopefully going back to school/college next academic year.

I have two job interviews next week. One is on wed for a big supermarket chain, the other for the catering company I used to work for. Obviously I would prefer the supermarket one, but Im going to the other one as a back up. I'm really worried about mentioning the hours I study, or if I should even mention it all, its not that many hours, but they're kind of spaced out so kind of awkward to fit a job round how do you guys manage studying and working? edit: make that 3 interviews now! one at a petrol station, I dont want this one as much because its not fixed hours and I put on the application i have no restrictions on working hours when I have college. I wasnt sure what they meant by that

I have a job at an office, where I do administrative stuff, like copying, printing, archiving . It's 8 hours a week, always a full day. I have been lucky that I have always had at least one day free of classes so that is when I work. I really like it, because it's not as stressful as working at a supermarket or fastfood place (as I have done in the past). I also like it because I now have my weekends free (to study, mostly :/). Knowing when I have to work and it always being the same day of the week makes it easier to schedule my schoolwork around it. When I need extra time for schoolwork (like around exam periods) then I take a day off, because I also get vacation days! Have you had your job interviews yet?
