I don't know if he's being racist. There are just some professors like that. I definitely agree that you should bring it up. If he's going to make comments like that, he should be able to explain them better. That said, if it were me, I would leave it alone. I'm not very good at talking to teachers and professors without sounding like I'm six. Plus, I wouldn't want him to talk even more offence with me.

He sounds like one. Some people love making your life difficult with things like that. Maybe he´s just generally someone you don´t want to be around. Talking helped me with some teachers and since your professor doesn´t grade your papers he can´t take it out on them. Maybe it´s just not worth it.

Its probably not worth it. Just make sure you never have him again.

Yeah, I want to email him after class is done. Ask him if he's teaching any history next semester. If he asks why i'll tell him to make sure I never have him again.
I didn't want to take him again, I just chose a class that the professor was "to be announced" which was annouced when he walked into the class.

I've always had at least one. Or else the teacher is changed at the last minute.

i have a TBA teacher this semester for my speech communication class. i know it's sexist, but i hope its a woman because i feel more comfortable in english classes w/ women, especially if it's speech giving...is that wrong of me?

I don't think so, just because you feel more comfortable with a female professor doesn't mean you think all male profs are bad - it's like me in high school, I much prefered having female teachers for phys ed. I didn't think they were better, I just felt more comfortable.

We didn't have that luxury - it was always boys/girls together and it sucked because no matter how hard I played, I could never outplay some of the guys. I was so glad when I moved to Ontario and we had all girls gym classes, it was much more fun! And I'll bet it was more fun for the guys as well because they could play as hard as they wanted.

The reviews won't do much, but it makes me happy. I will NEVER take him again. Horrible person!

Well you never know, if he happens to have quite a few negative reviews the faculty will probably want to meet with him. I don't know how it works at Concordia but at Laval students' evaluation are now taken very seriously and some profs have been issued a warning, and others have even been suspended.
