That´s so weird. In my very relaxed opinion of religion ( having no faith but I don´t want to insult anyone) I prefer to go to hell, I´m pretty sure that´s where most people I know will end up. And it´s warmer

this is just a generalization but in my encounters i think that europeans tend to have a more lax attitude on religon to a certain degree than Americans

That's a strange story Dom! So, my mom will go to hell because she had married an agnostic person (my father)...I can't believe so! It's funny. I believe in heaven and hell, and I don't think that you have only to go to church for deserve heaven, I think that the most important thing is how a person LIVE.
I'm not sure about that sage, but it's quite true that there's a lax attitude on religion here, especially in people of my age.

And it´s warmer lol, I agree, if hell existed I'm sure that's where all the fun people would be! As Mark Twain said, "Heaven for climate, hell for society." ;D

O, and I like the Mark Twain quote

The quote is hilarious, I hadn´t heard of it before. I´m sure there are certain levels of hell, I want to go to the fun people who ate fast food, drank coca cola and yes, killed flies when they flew in their mouths.

I kill flies whenever I can, does that mean I drop a level?

I do too! We can be in the lower levels together. I also kill as many cockroaches as possible.

lol:D I'm always happy to have company;D
So you're all probably getting sick of my wannabe preacher tendencies, but I just had to get this out in the open cause I want you to know: I do believe in Heaven and hell. (If I didn't why would I need Jesus right?) But I mock the idea of prawn eaters and cockroach killers ending up in hell! For doing that I mean;D I don't believe that your actions are what causes you to end up on either place (hence the man on the cross who said yes to Jesus right before he died), I firmly believe that it depends fully on faith in Jesus. (if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth) that's not a direct quote but it's from the Romans I think. Sorry, just couldn't go to sleep without having said that.
Now, back to mocking: Who was it that quoted Jorge Luis Borges once in saying: "I have always imagined that Paradise will be kind of a library." ? Cause, well, if that's the case, then we might wanna reconsider where we'd like to end up!;D Good night guys!

I'm not sure I believe in hell - at least in the case of having to do a certain thing to be able to avoid it. I'm sorry - but I do not believe God is that mean. There are so many whole countries of people who, for centuries back into their ancestry, were raised in the cultures and traditions of religions that are not Christianity. I don't think whole cultures of people, many of them good, are going to go to hell for not specifically believing in one certain god. I believe there are many roads to our creator, and he will welcome you with open arms as long as you believe in him - that he's there. I'm not convinced he will even turn away those who do not believe in him, but who lived good lives and brought joy to others. I'm definitely a Diest. (here's the wiki page, if you're not familiar: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism) to me, Albert Einstein says it best: "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind." Please note: I'm not trying to offend anyone. (That's the point! My religious view is that we should all be free to worship the God we see and know, and not be forced into anyone else's views!) I have total respect for anyone's religion, and I admire those who practice religion in an organized church - it can be a great comfort and joy in life. I'm just putting my two cents in.
