and i'll watch it with ya, Dom and LG! over and over and over and over........... but discounting SITR, my top 5 would be (in no particular order coz i just can't choose) - Anne of Green Gables (85 tv-movie version) - Ever After - The Philidelphia Story - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Beauty and the Beast but other gems i wish i could put in there would be Garden State, The Rage in Placid Lake, Sense and Sensibility (95 film), Little Women (94 version) and The Little Mermaid

Willy Wonka (the old version; I love Veruca Salt)(as a sidenote, the new one scared me also!) i like the old one too. i never saw the new one because it looked like it would scare me, not literally, but you get what i mean...

i *heart* pleasantville! i need to buy the dvd because i just have the movie taped off tv. i've only seen meryl streep in one thing: the devil wears prada. she did an excellent job being miranda, despite i think the movie adaptation really sucked in comparison to the book. isn't that a funny name though: meryl. if you just say meryl without the streep it sounds WAY weird...
