Hi! I'm Jefie, I was one of the regulars on the WB boards. I live in Canada, I've got a degree in literature and currently work in publications. I read mostly classics and some theatre, but I'm really interested in reading more contemporary books. Modern poetry isn't really my thing, though. Just like Rory, I'm addicted to coffee, traveling and books. So hello everyone, and thanks for joining Rory's book club!

OH MY GOD! Thank you Jefie for making Rory's Book Club after the WB disabled it. I really missed it...
Anyways, I'm Kristie. I live in Ohio and am a freshman in a university. I'm majoring in secondary education/integrated social studies (that means I want to teach history to Jr & Sr high school students). My favourite author is Jane Austen but I love a variety of books from the classics to the new releases.

Yay! You brought Rory´s Book Club back, Jefie. Thank you!
So, I´m Bina and I live in Germany. I study American and German literature and I adore Dorothy Parker ( obviously!). Right now I´m working my way through contemporary lit.

Hello! I'm Mollie. I'm from California. I'm still working on getting my degree (English and Interior Design) and may one day graduate.
I'm thrilled that you've started this board. The literary thread on the new CW boards isn't bad, but it's limiting in scope of discussion and variety of books and topics.
I like just about every kind of literature. Jane Austen is a favorite, as is most all British Lit. But I'm trying very hard to branch out and read more contemporary writers and writers from other countries. I am always open for suggestions. Right now I'm reading Running With Scissors and Kids of Oblivion. I'm about to start Frankenstein for the literary thread.
Thanks again. I'm glad to be a member!

That was the first I'd heard of this place or I'd certainly have been here sooner.
I'm just glad to be here. I often feel like my posts are ignored in the Literary thread.

I love Jane Austen too. I've read all her stuff except I haven't quite finished Mansfield Park. Frankenstein is a good book. I read it last year, not for school, but at the time everyone else had to read it for AP.

Mansfield Park took a long time for me to finish. I just couldn't get into very well. I love Frankenstein though. I've read it six or seven times.

first of all: thank you Jefie!! I missed the old book club so much I'm Anke, 20, I live in Germany and I've 1 1/2 years until i (hopefully) get my Abitur. I can't decide who's my favourite author but one of my favourite books is by Marc Behm. I'm not sure what it is called in English but I think it was "off the wall".
