Oh, Fingersmith - lucky you! I really want to read that one day, seeing as i was so impressed by the BBC adaptation. I keep having to buy children's picture books for one of my Lit courses - annoying! But i guess it does provide me with gift options for Christmas time! I've never seen the BBC adaption. I just saw it on sale and I flipped it through and I liked it. And yes it does provide you with gift options Oh and I'm also sorry that you have to buy all those children's picture books for Lit courses

I went to Strand this weekend and got some good stuff:
High Fidelity by Nick Hornby How to be Good by Nick Hornby About a Boy by Nick Hornby Lolita by Nabokov McSweeney's number 11
I was really excited about the Nick Hornby books I found. I'm going to a book signing of his in November, and I really wanted nice hardcover copies to get signed. And they were so cheap!

I bought this a couple weeks ago. Have some books to read before I get to it though I think I'll start reading it after Matilda (which I'm hoping to finish today). I've heard Stardust is as good as (or even better than...) Coraline!

I've just gone to bookstore and bought Bridget Jones's Diary.
I also ordered some books online last week: - The Portable Dorothy Parker - A Great and terrible Beauty by Libba Bray - Weekend by Christopher Pike (I read it many times when I was 13-14 but I've realized I didn't own it..yet..) - Jane Austen's Letters - So Many Books, So Little Time by Sara Nelson - The Sisterhood Of Travelling Pants by Ann Brashares I hope to get them soon.

Weekend by Christopher Pike (I read it many times when I was 13-14 but I've realized I didn't own it..yet..) I have a Christopher Pike book that I read all the time when I was about that age and I kept it because I still love it. It's called The Starlight Crystal. Have you read it? Ben thinks I'm lame, but I don't care - I'm keeping forever.

I just ordered Magyk, Flyte, and Physik by Angie Sage from Amazon. Since I got the first two in a box set, I won't get them til November (it was a preorder) but I think I'll get Physik in normal time, which is fine because I'll probably be ready to read it about when I get it in the mail. I really love this series!

I've never heard of it, but I'm not sure that all Pike's books have been translated into italian, I wasn't able to read in english when I was 13 but I am now ;D so what it is about? I read Weekend (which is my favorite), Last act (my bestfriend's favorite), Remember me and part of Spooksville serie. Those were the only we could find in bookstores or libraries at the time.

Ok, this is going to sound really lame, but it's about this girl who travels on a spaceship that goes faster than the speed of light so that a year aboard the spaceship is 200 years on earth. So when she returns, she has to deal with eveything being different. And then things go wrong, and of course there is a love interest. Maybe I should re-read it again before I recommend it. I used to love Christopher Pike. I think I read most of his books. I especially liked the Last Vampire books.
