I picked buying them. I just loving have my own copy. One of my favorite books is Pride and Prejudice and I have about 3-4 different editions of the copy.... It's really bad but it's just something I feel important investing in even though my mother doesn't think so

I picked buying, I love owning my own copies. I hate taking books out from the library, unless it's for research.

I picked both. I don't mind borrowing books from library, I used to do that once a months when I was younger, now I do that when I'm not sure how much I'd like a book or just when I'm out of cash. I love owning my copies of books I like, so I usually buy them when they sound good or I already know that I like the author. I aso take books out from library when I can't find them in bookstores and that often happens.

I chose both, because sometimes I am almost positively sure before I read it that I will enjoy it--those books I buy. Sometimes I think I might like it--those I borrow. If I'm reading a library book and am really enjoying it and think I'll like it through to the end, I sometimes go buy it and finish my own copy (weird, I know).

i chose both too. i love having my own copy, especially of books that i really enjoyed or that meant something important to me...but i'm also a very quick reader and buying all my books would be really too expensive so i don't mind borrowing them from the libraries in my town.lately there is also the problem of the space:apparently my house it's just not big enough and in this weeks i'm reorganizing all the shelves! i have came to the conclusion that in the future i'll try to borrow most of my book and buy just the ones that i really want or that i can't find in libraries!

I also chose both, because usually I don't know if I'll like a book so I'll just take them from the library... and sometimes i buy a book, but only when I'm really sure I'm gonna like it, I don't mind getting books from the library, also because sometimes I read a book only once, and I think it's a waste of my money to buy a book that I'll just read once..

I don't think it's weird ;D I sometimes do the same.

I voted buy only, because that's what I prefer. I am going to get a library card sometime in the next month though. My book habit is getting a bit expensive, so I will be doing both.

My problem is that I forget to return the book and then I have to pay a fine which costs about as much as the book and then I am mad because in the end all I got was a big CLEAR sign on the computer screen until I take something else out and it is a whole vicious vicious circle

I picked buy, because I hate parting with books that I really enjoy. I always recieve fines at librarys, and sometimes a book I want is lost or already checked out, so it seems less troubling just to buy it. I enjoy new books better than my library's books anyway, because they don't have any mysterious food stains or ripped pages. I'm just more satisfied when I buy a book, and can read it during my own time and not worry about when it's due.

I opt for both just in case, but ultimately buying is oh so much more satisfactory.
