Well, I'm reading Jane Eyre and, so far, there's only really Jane. I'm to the point of Rochester just coming to Thornfield, so most of the characters aren't as developed yet. But I think Jane's interesting, even if she wasn't the only character I really knew.

I'm reading The Eyre Affair right now, and I'm about halfway through. There's no contest - my favorite is definitely Thursday Next! I'm so excited that I'm loving this book, it's fun to love a book and know there are 4 others in the series!

I'm reading East of Eden. My favorite characters are Samuel and Lee, everyone else is either evil, have weak souls, or not very significant.

In Mansfield Park, it's hard to really like any character besides Fanny. Everyone else acts mean to her, whether they intend it or not, and so she is to be pitied. But I admire her for never calling anyone out on their behaviors towards her, even if she really doesn't deserve to be treated in that way.

A Great and Terrible Beauty - um... probably Kartik, oddly enough. He seems to be the wisest of the bunch and certainly the most enigmatic - and who doesn't love an enigma?! I suppose i'm meant to side with Gemma as she is the protagonist but i find myself just shaking my head at her antics most of the time. It's kind of funny because I'm reading that book right now, and just like you I know I should prefer Gemma, but I'm actually more interested in Felicity. She's not a nice person, but I find her character more complex and more intriguing.

I'm reading The Great Gatsby right now, most of the characters haven't really developed yet, but so far I guess Daisy is my favorite.

I think every girl wants to be Jo at some point. DEFINITELY! I know I've wanted it on more than one occasion. She's so strong-willed you think that at some point she'll do something you don't approve of or like but she never does (well...from what I can remember ;D) I'm currently reading "The Scarlet Letter" for school and I have to say that Chillingworth is my favorite. That's probably going to change in a couple of chapters but, right now, he's being very forgiving to Hester and helping her calm down. But, hey. I'm the girl who's favorite character in Peter Pan was Captain Hook

I'm reading "The Kite Runner" and although he seems to be getting a bit better as he grows older so far Amir hasn't been an overly likeable character. I think I like Hassan and Amir's wife the best. I can't remember her name and I'm too tired to be bothered looking
