As with last time I still have Dream of the Walled City, Suite Francaise, and the Scarlet Pimpernel. But I just checked out another book: 1000 Places to See Before You Die. The travel channel is using the book to start a show and I can't wait. The book is 800 some pages, obviously with 1000 places to see. So I'll read bits of it in between normal books. Also have a couple movies: Moon Spinners and Reluctant Debutante.

I spent yesterday night and all morning reading The Painted Veil...It is so good. It's a short small read which makes it easier to manage. I had not planned on reading it any time soon considering I am reading not only Slaughterhouse but also Sense and Sensibility but it was a really good read. I heard about the movie with Naomi Watts and Edd Norton (I think?) in it so i decided i would read the book before. It is set in the 1920s during the cholera epidemic in Hong Kong

I'm going to library today, just to check which days it is open (one of the bad aspects of living in a very small place) because I've never been there since December and I don't know if something is changed.

I have (still) 1,000 Places to See Before You Die as the only book. I have 3 movies: Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason, Marie Antoinette, and Brigadoon (yeah, I remember watching some of it on TV with my mom a while ago and I just wanted to watch it all).

Right now, I have that 1,000 Places book I mentioned before, My Dear Cassandra (Jane Austen's letters to her sister), and Flirting with Pride and Prejudice: Fresh Perspectives on the Original Chick-Lit Masterpiece (got it for some research, but it looked good as a fun book to read, so I kept it). Those are the books. I have four other books about Jane Austen for an English paper. Then I have the Marie Antoinette soundtrack, the old musical Brigadoon, and th new movie Man of the Year. I have a weird range of stuff, don't I?

Just took out "Running With Scissors" by Augustun Burroughs. I'm suprised they let me take it out considering my hefty fines.
