The Red Tent is narrated by Dinah, Jacob's daughter from Genesis. It tells about her life as a woman in biblical society and those of the 4 wives of Jacob.
I have the same problem as you... I have so many books on my TBR list that sometimes I look at them and can't remember why I wanted to read them or where I even heard about them.

The Red Tent is narrated by Dinah, Jacob's daughter from Genesis. It tells about her life as a woman in biblical society and those of the 4 wives of Jacob. have you thought of reading in the shadow of the ark? it's a historical fiction about a girl the youngest son of noah snuck onto the ark and her father who survived in a boat he'd made himself. it's like the truth that wasn't told although it's prolly not true at all. i like those books. many waters the last book of the wrinkle in time series is also about the ark period of time and i really liked it. i love those books because you really don't have to read them in order. just some i think you'll like if you like what the red tent is about.

I´m already halfway through and I´ll definitively read his other books. The 50s were crazy and I love the article excerpts at the beginning of each chapter and the way he describes his mother, so funny!

as i have had for the past couple months, i have the complete sherlock holmes (volume I) and i've finally made a small dent in it. i also have peter pan in scarlet and fahrenheit 451 for the club. i have a couple movies out: ice age the meltdown and ghosts of mississippi. and a trace adkins cd. but that's all. i have 8 james bond movies waiting for me to pick up. i'll wait til the weekend though so i have longer to watch them and get them at a time i can actually watch them.
