Well, that didn't last long. I have:
Book -- A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah
DVDs Freedom Writers Dreamgirls (aka movies I sort of want to see and didn't want to pay for them at the theater or to rent)

Yesterday I got several books recommended by Francine Prose in Reading Like a Writer:
I Sailed With Magellan by Stuart Dybek Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas by Gertrude Stein A Novel of Thank You by Gertrude Stein The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov
Not sure how much of these I'll get read before they're due back, but I'm really excited about "I sailed with Magellan" and am reading that next.

I returned some books to library yesterday and I checked out other 3: Women in Love by D.H. Lawrence The House of Seven Gables by Hawthorne (because they are both mentioned in Special Topics in Calamity Physics as required reading...and I haven't read them yet) and The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton

i've read women in love. let's just say it's pretty risque. i took it out from the library while i was working there and the librarian gave me this really weird book. i didn't understand why until i started to read the book. WOW! I mean his writing is beautiful but i felt like i was reading erotica or at least soft porn

WOW! I mean his writing is beautiful but i felt like i was reading erotica or at least soft porn Really?? I have never heard of that before I read its title at the beginning of Special Topics in Calamity Physics... It doesn't sound like a kind of book I'd enjoy, I'm not in the right mood to start a book I might dislike now.. I'm still trying to finish A Portrait Of the Artist As a Young Man by Joyce, I really don't like it. So, thanks for your advice sage.

Pride & Prejudice, because I probably forgot my own copy in Argentina, and I was dying to continue reading! Emma by Jane Austen Pnin by Nabokov in Dutch and in English Laughter in the Dark by Nabokov Les particules élémentaires by michel Houellebecq And 'New Writing' a book with short stories from different authors. and Jane Eyre as an audiobook.
I can have as many books as I want, for as long as I want because my mom works in the library.

Just got: DVDs >>> Catch & Release and Happily N'Ever After Book >>> The Agony of Alice by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor (my teacher read this to me in 4th grade and I recently found out it's on the ALA's list of 100 Most Challenged Books so I wanted to remember why it was so bad)
