I love The Cather in the Rye but understand why some dislike it. I hope you end up enjoying it.

I added First Among Sequels: A Thursday Next Novel by Jasper Fforde. I thought the series would definitely be over so I´m curious what this books will be like.

I've only read The Eyre Affair, which I thought was good, but not amazing. Are the other books in the series good?

I love them. My favorite is the third one, the well of lost plots, which is set in the book world only. You might like to try the second book because that´s when things really take off.

I added Dawn Powell: Novels 1944-1962, after rewatching an episode where Rory and Lane discusses D.P.

I think amazon has it used for 50 cents. I don´t know the shipping costs but it can´t be more than 3 $.

So do you guys have an opinion about the whole Dawn Powell inventing Dorothy Parker's jokes? (that's what Rory told Lane...)

I had some book catalogues, but here are a few from just one that I thought looked interesting: 50 Dates Worse than Yours by Justin Racz Waiting for Daisy by Peggy Orenstein Icebergs by Rebecca Johns Where's My Jetpack: A Guide to the Amazing Science Fiction Future that Never Arrived by Daniel H Wilson My Name is Iran by Davar Ardalan Taxonomy of Barnacles by Galt Niederhoffer
There are lots more...maybe 20. But these are the ones I can remember. (You'd think I wouldn't look for books to put on my TBR list because I have so many already, but no...I have to always find as many as possible)

Today I was studying at the library and when I passed one of the isles I caught a glimpse of a title which amused me, so when I decided to take a break I found it and read a little, and I loved it so now I have added If You Can't Live Without Me, Why Aren't You Dead Yet by Cynthia Heimel to my TBR list:)

I haven´t read anything on that but I doubt Dorothy Parker stole everything. As far as I know she was very witty live and not just in her works. But she´s my hero so I´m totally prejudiced

now that dorothyparker85 has explained them to me I want to read the Thursday Next series! Also still want to read Kite Runner, The Geisha of Gion, Northanger Abbey and Aurora Leigh and Other Stories by Elizabeth Barret Browning. Amongst many others!
