So, I made this thread for books you're planning on reading someday since we have a thread for what you just finished reading and what you're currently reading. So...
What is the last book you put on your To Be Read List? Who recommended it to you or where did you hear of it? Why do you think it sounds interesting? Etc...

Great thread, Kristie! Latest additions to my TBR list are: The great Gatsby, I was very interested of reading this, then I heard some of you said good things about it and I've finally decided to purchased it. A moveable feast, because I loved what I've read by Hemingway and I'd like to read more.

Like dorothyparker85, I've added Thirteenth Tale to my list due to all of your praise for the novel. Also, I added Insatiable by Gael Greene which I discovered while checking out Dom's Vox. Sounds very interesting...

It's really good!! Haven't finished it all. I also added Suite Francaise although i haven't gotten to it and probably won't in a long time. I thought it would be interesting because it's a historical fiction?? novel and i tend to gravitate towards that type of stuff. I also added the English Patient. Plan to read it before i watch the movie hopefully. Once again for those reasons

I also want to read the Thirteenth Tale. Wicked, In Cold Blood, and Water for Elephants are books I bought and i'm waiting to read. I added Namesake to my wishlist. My wishlist, and TBR pile is huge.

I definately reccommend Insatiable so far I'm glad you want to read it too. The author of The English Patient, Michael Ondaatje, has a new book coming out soon. I forget what it's called though. I really enjoyed In Cold Blood. On my to be read list atm is "The God of Small Things", "The Namesake" and my complete works of Virginia Wolf.

I just added two books to my TBR list: "Edith Wharton" - a biography by Hermione Lee. And "The Perfect Summer: England 1911, Just before the storm" by Juliet Nicolson. Both were reviewed in the books section of the newest Vogue, and sound very interesting. I find good books to read in Vogue - but it's odd because in Vogue the descriptions seem to me to offer a substitute for actually reading the book. I do find the books featured to be quality, just an odd sort of reviewing. I also added "Oh the Glory of it All" by Sean Wilsey - a friend with great taste in books recommended it. I found it at Strand for $4 and read the first few pages and really liked them. So I bought it and it's now in my TBR stack. Like Kristie, I also added Insatiable to my list after reading about it on Dom's Vox.

yay I also want to read the Edith Warton biography, it sounds interesting the way the chapters are supposed to be organised by theme rather than in a chronological order or something?

The latest addition to my tbr list is Smith of Wootton Major and Farmer Giles of Ham by J.R.R Tolkien. I read about it in my recently finished Gift of Friendship, so I wanted to read it.
