Don't see any others. They'll just change your view of the other movies. Megan Follows is the only real Anne.

that really doesn't make any sense especially since the young anne seems to be really averse to being red headed Did they just exclude the bit where she dyes her hair green?

I saw that one. I don't remember much about it, but I did wonder about the hair.

My favorite character is stephanie Plum, the bounty hunter. Some of you have read Janet Evanovich's books. They're great, i love them!
Also Harry Potter...I love Harry Potter.

DOM!!!!!!!!!! "ONE" of you friends had the Anne books?! ONE of them?! some nameless entity who doesn warrant a name? *sobs* ANNE OF GG RANT BEGINS: Yes, everybody the great great Megan Follows played Anne Shirley in Kevin Sullivans tv-movies of 1985-87, and then in the subsequent third helping *cough!* of 2000. But more importanaly, the 8 novels (there were others that were'nt direct canon) by L.M. Montogmery are super dooper: in my mind, they are so much more than charming children's lit.. they - being the world and inhabitants of Avonlea and PEI (i'm going there one day i vow!) and the character of Anne - have honestly shaped me - gag, cliche yes, but it's the truth. So to cut a long story short, undoutedly my fav character of an work of lit, is the one and only Anne Shirley, a girl whose imagination was limitless as with her appeal! And Dom/Poisonpen, i though you loathed "Catcher" as a novel? *oh, and sidenote: Megan's hair is naturally brown, but in the film it was undoubtedly red (sometimes bordering on strawberry blonde, it's true) via a combo of wigs and dye. and the 1938 (or was it '34?) B&W film version ruined Gilbert, ugh! RUINED HIM. the rest was left relatively unscathed, but they messed with the latter half of the plot majorly aswell.

No, no - i'm holding my tongue, and i can tell you it's not a pleasant experience to hold one's own tongue! I also like Haz (aka HP/Harry Potter) coz i feel that's one real full-blooded kid Jo's written there. Many whinged about his 5th book persona but for me, there was nothing more genuine and poignant and true. Let's hope he gets a nice wrap-up come no. 7 to his rather miserable existence so far! (although i am one of those who feels his death - and Voldy's of course - would be the nicest way out for him)
