Ok I've changed them. Also I've fixed whatever went wrong with the link to the web page of it at the top of the site and loaded up the version of the list as I was last working on it. So it has a title and a pic for everything to the end of contemporary but not all of the descriptions are there.

I'm surprised Vanity Fair isn't one of the books listed under classics.

I just looked at the list again (after a long long time) and I noticed that not all the descriptions are there yet. Are we still going to complete all the descriptions? I might have some time in the last week of January to add some...

I don't think anyone has a lot of time to contribute descriptions to the list anymore. If you want to contribute some you're more than welcome and I'll update it with them, but don't feel that you have to.

'Hey finnally a list I can use! The list from 2007 in the beginning is amazing! I have this goal to read like 500 books until I am finished with University and to actually own them, I love to collect books because it always makes a good and intelligent first impression! I already have read like the books like Pride & Prejudice, I´m really into Jane Austen! Right now I´m about to finish Wuthering Hights, the book becomes really good after the 5th chapter. So could someone please give me a hint with what to follow or a good explanation how to work this club, I didn´t really get the hang of this page! Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot Since we all like book lists we decided to make a Rory's Book Club Book List. This is the thread where we suggested books to add to the list and posted short descriptions of each book. Here's the list: rorysbookclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=classicbooklist I hope I have answered your question. Btw, I'm a huge Jane Austen fan!

If you're into Jane Austen you might like Sense & Sensibility (perhaps you already read it). Some of my favourites from the list are: The Awakening by Kate Chopin, Fahreneit 451 by Ray Bradbury, Slaughterhoue five by Kurt Vonnegut, A Private Matter by Beppe Fenoglio, Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding, Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl, The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. (it's too hard to pick just ONE book ) Most of the books from that list have their own discussion thread, so feel free to add your thoughts! Or start a new discussion.

I've noticed some of the links on Our Book List aren't working properly, I'll fix them but I don't want to mess anything up, so it may take a while.
