I finished the book last night. I couldn't sleep before I finished it. And I would like to discuss about it because this novel has just disturbed me (but in a good way, I think). At the beginning, I was really excited because I had already seen the trailer of the movie and, the more I read it, the more I wanted to see the movie... But in the middle of it, it began bugging me... All this drug thing (even if it is not something big... but it is still there) and all this sadness and depression in Charlie's character... There was something that escaped me, I felt it but I could imagine what... And then, I read the last few page... And I was just like "Oh my god!!!". I was pretty disturbed. It was hard to find sleep after that (bad luck for me). I am still thinking about it and I read some informations on the Internet to be sure I understand all the details of the story. Now I do and I think it is a very good novel. Generally, I always find that teenager novels are too easy and obvious but, here, I didn't see it coming! Disturbing... But actually, it is maybe what a good book is made for: disturbing people. And which were your feelings when reading it and most of all, after reading it?

I read the book a couple years ago I love it the ending was a bigger shocker to me. After reading it I felt a lot of empathy towards Charlie. I hated the Mary Elizabeth character. I loved Patrick and in the movie the actor is perfect as Patrick he's hilarious and exactly as I imagined it. I loved the movie, but the book is better. I didnt like some of the changes they made. I dont want to spoil the movie but some were unnecessary. also Emma's american accent is not good. But i wish the dvd was coming out sooner, I cant wait. The 'theme song' of the movie is Heroes by David Bowie ad Ive bee listening to it non stop since Friday

Oh that sucks, at least the dvd is out in February and all of europe is the same for dvds. You have to see it. Yeah they have the soundtrack on amazon so you can check all the songs. I was glad they had a lot of the same songs/books as referenced in the book.
