I thought we could use this thread to talk about getting healthy and into shape. we may already have one but it's probably old. So I really want to tone up, I dont really care about losing weight I just want to be able to wear more fitted clothes. Im not overweight, I'm 5'7 and weight 62kg (137 pounds) so that puts me as average on most bmi charts. I just want to completely love my body and be able to run without getting out of breath and such. I dont care about clothes sizes, because they dont really mean anything. My main problem is I dont exercise because the gym here is so expensive. I may get a leisure card and then go swimming but its also still quite expensive. I dont really walk anywhere because its hilly where I live. Just running round the neighbourhood is boring to me. any ideas how to get exercise? Also food, I eat healthy stuff but I eat a lot of junk too I never miss meals. also on thursdays I always get dinner out, because I always carry lunch so i cant really carry dinner too, and its so easy just to go to a junk food place like subway or kfc. I've tried dieting before but if after a few days I see no result, I get impatient and give up. Im not really sure I want to diet, as such just try to eat more stuff in moderation and not eat anything and everything.

I know some people like to do those work out dvds? I forgot the names though... I don't know much about dieting myself, because I have always been tiny . But it seems like so much work! And it doesn't always pay off either. I think that a balanced diet might be perfectly fine too! And cheating once a week with some delicious junk food shouldn't be that big a problem, right? Even though I don't need to diet, I have thought about getting an app on my phone where I could log what I eat and see if I eat enough, or too much? But most of those apps are designed for dieting, which is not something I want to do... I bike almost daily to the train station, so that is all the workout I get. Maybe you can put extra walking distance into your commute from place to place?

Last year, decided to diet which means for me: simply trying to eat healthier and to eat less. I mean the worst thing to do is eating because you had a very long day of university and you are stressed and depressed and so on... Then, you eat something to make you feel better... Bad idea. I did it when I was in sophomore year because I was depressed with university and about a boy... And then, the result was catastrophic. Therefore, I decided last year to be serious once about dieting. Once I had the will, it worked right. I have a "junk food day" the Sunday evening because we have a special meal at home (which means pizzas and so on). The other days, I try to keep an eye on what I eat. The most important is probably to eat less when the evening is coming but it is also important not to be hungry. Eating healthy food like yogurts, fruits and so on will help it. For sport, like Carma, I bike quite everyday to the train station. I have also a fitness machine (I don't know if it is ok to say that). I really like doing sports and I think it is a good way to be and feel healthy. And you can have fitness machine for a lttle amount of money.
