Maybe we could do a young adult book. How about A Great and Terrible Beauty. I think most of you guy's haven't read it and it does have the depth that aren't found in most young-adult books i.e complex themes, regionalism...

I've read this, and I think there would be some to discuss. It's a great book. I'd read it again.

I've read The Time Traveler's Wife and The Handmaid's Tale, from those you mentioned. I think that time traveler's wife is a good suggestion. I've just read a review abot Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and I think it sounds like a good book!

I think I'm favouring reading lolita in tehran and the snow flower and the secret fan are good choices so far, only a handful of people have read them and they sound interesting to discuss. Are there any modern books being made into movies that people are interested in reading like was the case with The Perfume?

I read the Kite Runner and it was great! Really amazing, I wasn't sure what to expect but will recommend it to everyone.

I know a few people have expressed interest in "The Inheritance of loss." That could be a choice too.

I haven't read The Inheritance of Loss and Kite Runner but I read reviews and they sound like good books.
I've just checked if my favourite bookstore has these books; The Inheritance of Loss is "coming soon" ...funny...it sounds like a movie!

the virgin suicides and the little girl who was too fond of matches are two other modern ones I'd like to read, don't know if they'd be good for dicussion or not though.
