I picked up Amélie Nothomb's "Journal d'Hirondelle" last night, it's been a while since I've read one of her books. They always make for a fun, quick read

I'm reading The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. I've read about 100 pages, it's good so far.

Heard great things about The Corrections, Lu!
Tried reading Rowling's A Casual Vacancy...couldn't stand any of the characters so I quit 40 pages in. Now I'm reading The Deadly Butter Chicken by Tarquin Hall for a good cozy read!

The Eyre Affair, got it as a (very) late birthday present. The concept is intriguing, and the beginning is promising, so I have high hopes for it!

Now I'm reading The Deadly Butter Chicken by Tarquin Hall for a good cozy read! I have heard about a lot of people who just couldn't finish it because of the characters. I for one loved it. I just was in a good mood for it. I'm also sure, that if I would have been in a different mood, I would have hated it. I think, it's just one of those love/hate books.

Heard great things about The Corrections, Lu! So did I. I borrowed a copy from a friend who loved it but I tried to start reading without any expectations. I've read about 400 pages and I think it's pretty good, I don't like any of the characters…but I really like the writing.
