I am currently reading "Lean in" by Sheryl Sandberg. It's very interesting although I do not agree with all of her opinions on women in the workforce.

Every so often I feel like I've left my friends behind so I come back to check in. It's so quiet over here these days, huh? I'm sorry - I'm part of that problem.
Anyway, I am currently reading THE AGE OF ICE in print and AND THE MOUNTAINS ECHOED on audio. Not reading much print these days - thank goodness for audiobooks.

I'm currently reading The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. Pretty nerdy, but I'm enjoying it. I'm listening to a great "The Great Courses" class - "Classics of American Literature." I'm at the beginning, but trying to read the all the books in the lectures. It's going to take a while! I'm also listening to audio versions of a few short stories that were discussed by Washington Irving: Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hallow.

I am currently reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, but not really, because I keep starting and finishing other books in the meantime... But at the moment I am 'between books'!

It took me like 6 months to actually finish Kavalier and Clay. I read many books in between. I really want to read Kavalier and Clay! I've started reading The fault in our stars by John Green, I'm at page 13 and it's really good so far. I'm also listening to Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens in Italian, it's a free audiobook and I find the narrator a little annoying, that may be the reason why I'm not enjoying it that much.

It took me like 6 months to actually finish Kavalier and Clay. I read many books in between. haha. I have been reading it for 6 months already, probably, still nowhere near the end! It's not that I don't like it though, it's just that other books come by that I want to read first. I did the same thing previously with Life of Pi and The Mysterious Benedict Society.

I'm also listening to Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens in Italian, it's a free audiobook and I find the narrator a little annoying, that may be the reason why I'm not enjoying it that much. I have begun it a long time ago now and I haven't finished it yet also. I had difficulties to get into the story I think (if I remenber well). It was not as easy as it was for Peter and Wendy but I want to give it another try this summer. So, I will tell you if it is better this time I am currently listening to The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo. I have chosen to listen to an audiobook version instead of reading it because I was expecting very long (and sometimes, let's say it, annoying) descriptions... (And I was right about that) and because I had already use that "trick" (audiobook instead of paper version) for Madame Bovary and it was so worthy. I had already tried to read Madame Bovary twice when I was younger and it was so painful that I could go further than the 100 first pages! Giving it another try (for my personal Reading Like Rory Gilmore Challenge) in an audio version was amazing: without that, I would have missed a book that was much better than I first thought (because my opinion of Mrs Bovary was kind of a caricature actually!). Therefore, I anticipated the matter with The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Plus, I "read" faster that way because I can listen while doing something else! So, while reading other books, I am nearly at the end of The Hunchback of Notre-Dame after something like two weeks of reading! I really liked it. I have only the four last chapters to read. So, I don't know the exact end yet but all I can say so far is that I don't like Phoebus at all and I feel some sympathy for Claude Frollon. Actually, I really like his character. When he made his love declaration to Esmeralda, it really seems like true love and I felt so sad that Esmeralda is in love with Phoebus who is actually a philanderer!
