Post your suggestions for a classic novel we could read and discuss!

I've really been wanting to read Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne lately. But here are some other classics I personally have and would like to read:
-Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte -Great Expectations by Charles Dickens -Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy -Villette by Charlotte Bronte -Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray -The House of Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne

All my books are in boxes so I'll just comment on what you guys have posted so far - I think Vilette, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall or The House of Seven Gables would be fun to read

When should we start our discussion, no matter what book we have chosen to read??

It's gonna be hard for me to join a discussion before January since I'll be busy with the move and then with Christmas. If you guys want to get started without me, go ahead - otherwise, I should have more time to read and discuss a novel after the holidays.

I don't think I will as busy as you guys anyway after the Christmas holidays sounds good to me, too.

Do you think we should choose which of the two novels to read about now, or should we wait until the discussion gets closer?

I think we should wait until the discussion gets closer, in case someone else is able to join the discussion.

Sounds good! I voted for Wildfell Hall since that's the one my library has.
