I really have to finish my exams so I can start reading again!

Towers of Midnight just shipped. Just one more book left and the entire Wheel of time series is done! Can't wait to see how it ends.

I bought Jane and the Damned by Janet Mullany yesterday. It's supposed to be a paranormal twist on a biography of Jane Austen :/ Not sure how I'll like it

I read P&P&Z and found it to be funny, actually.

I just couldn't get into it nor understand the point of it But then again, I'm a big fan of the Bridget Jones novels and some of my friends hate the books!

I just found it hilarious. I didn't take it seriously at all. Just a funny twist on a classic and favorite I've read so many times.
I actually wrote a post on my blog about these recent paranormal spoofs of classics. What do you think about them? Obviously, I know your feelings towards one of them. Have you read any others?

No, it's the only one I've read - since I didn't like it, I didn't feel like reading the others. But there are so many out there now, there obviously is a market for it! What I didn't like about it is that they just used the real text and added some words like "vomit" here and there, it wasn't very creative and felt pretty amateurish. I thought it'd be funny and entertaining, but like I said, I just didn't see the point. Maybe some of the other books are better?

Oh, yeah. The "authors" who add stuff definitely don't show any merit in their own respects. I mean, how hard is it to add something to the original text?? Not too hard, I'd imagine.
But all I've read is P&P& Zombies, too. So I'm not sure about the others. This Jane and the Damned will be different, I think. That's because the whole story is new and created by the authors. It's not adding to or changing around a little of an original book. Maybe... haha

Let me know once you've read it! I'm currently reading "The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen", which is kind of cute.
