Hey everyone,
I'm very late to this party considering how long GG's has been off the air but i've rediscovered my love for the show and now that I'm trying to write my own novel I thought hey why not do some reading of the great books that are already out there.
So I've checked out Rory's list and I'm quite scared by it but also challenged by it as well - I'm gonna read them all.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to start with? I've already read a few Austen's.
Thanks for your help. TL

Hi TL! Welcome. There are good books on that list and it's hard to suggest one. Since you're trying to write a novel A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf might be a good choice. My favourites on that list (apart from Jane Austen's) are: Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee 1984 by George Orwell A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway I also really liked Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, The Group by Mary McCarthy and Atonement by Ian McEwan...just to mention a FEW... ;D ;D Maybe you already read all of them.

Hi, I'm not new here but I haven't posted in probably over a year, so I thought I should re-introduce myself. It's been soooo long since I was here but I'm glad I'm back!

Hi, my name is Pia, and I'm new here :-) My joining was just a logical consequence, as I'm loving Gilmore Girls and books. I think you guys did a great job creating this board, and I'm really looking forward to some interesting discussions!
