I used to be in love with the Babysitter's Club...but that was about 10 years ago haha Now I like the Harry Potter series and A Wrinkle in Time series and A Great and Terrible Beauty series (all of which are somewhat fantasy, if not sci-fi for A Wrinkle in Time). Currently I'm reading a series, I guess you could call the Materena Mahi series. They're these Tahitian books, I read #2 before #1 (which I'm working on now). But it doesn't matter with the order because #1 takes place in some of the 12 years skipped in #2. The 3rd comes out in the US later this year. I also like the Robert Langdon series, even if lots of people hate Dan Brown. I love his work...

Ah, the Babysitter's Club! I had forgotten those books even existed! I remember all the girls in my class loving them. I wasn't too big a fan though, but I read them all just to do it;)

I used to love them too, I ended up giving away my 40 or 50ish copies to my primary school's library.

bethany88 I also read Little House on the Prairie--my mom had all of them!
I was also into Babysitter's Club (I even watched the TV show. As well, I could never find #54 or which ever one Mallory started riding!) I had two American Girl dolls so of course I read those books too. They were very good. My sister still has most of mine.

I've loved reading series my whole life because I see books as experiences- with a series I recreate or extend the experience. As for my childhood favorite series (we'll leave aside the phase where I thought that The BabySitters Club and Sweet Valley High was great literature) I loved LM Montgomery's Anne books, and her Emily books. Lousia May Alcott Little Women, Little Men etc... Again lets's brush on past that phase when Iwas 11 and though that VC Andrew series where the best thing ever.... And these are currently the series I like Libba Bray- A Gread And Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels and the upcoming A Sweeet Fair Thing Diana Gabaldon-"Outlander" series: Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn, The Firey Cross, A Breath of Snow and Ashes Sara Donati "Bonner family saga" Into the Wilderness, Dawn on A Distant Shore, The Lake In the Couds, Fire Along the Sky, Queen of Swords Paulina Simons Bronze Horseman Trilogy: The Bronze Horseman, the Bridge to Holy Cross, The Summer Garden I just started Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, which a friend told me I had to read since I'm not a fan of the vampire romance novek genre Iwas skeptical but I'm really loving it. I plan to read the sequel New Moon when I finish this and the upcoming 3rd book Eclipse. And Harry Potter, naturally

When I was younger: the babysittersclub and Snuf the dog (by an dutch writer) and the Olijke twin (also by an dutch writer). From both series I´ve read like ten books or even more... My favourite is the Gossip Girl serie and the bookserie 'the sisterhood of the traveling pants'!!

Wow, how could I have forgotten about the American Girl series?! Me and my sisters used to love them, but we never got the dolls. We loved them so much, we picked one to be and so my aunt and uncle still call us by those names sometimes My older sister was Felicity, I was Kirsten (close to Kristie lol), and my two younger sisters were Samantha and Josephina I love those books!
This is probably way late to reply with, but bethany88, I do know what you mean by book orders. I loved those. That's how I got the first 3 Harry Potter books without my mom knowing (since I wasn't allowed to read them).

I haven't read too many series, but I do like the Georgia Nicolson books by Louise Rennison. They always make me laugh.
