Hey guys!! Now that summer vacation is here I wanted to know what books you guys are thinking about tackling? I myself can not wait for finals to end so I can start compiling a list of books to read this summer. I feel so accomplished when I get to cross off a bunch of books at the end of the summer from my TBR list!! ;D ;D

War and Peace Peony in Love The Sweet Far Thing Pride and Prejudice (re-read) The Handmaid's Tale
And I think that's about it for books I definitely want to read. Other than that, I'll just see what I feel like. But I do want to try to read more than I have this winter/spring. Even though my schedule is the same...

I think I want to read something that intimidates me, because I'll have the time to work my way through it. Like Anna Karenina.

War and Peace It's Not About the Tapas (Since I'm going to Spain) The Time Traveler's Wife La Casa en Mango Street
I would definitely like to read more than just these four, but these are the ones I definitely want to have read by the end of the summer.

I'm planning to read at least:
War and Peace Crime and Punishment Bleak House
This will be the first summer when I have to study also, so I don't have much time I actually have for reading.

I´ve no idea if I´ll actually have a real summer with writing my BA thesis. I´d like to read some classics if I get time off.
For example: The House of Mirth Anna Karenina Light in August

I usually use the summer to tackle tougher longer books like Crime and Punishment which I read last summer. I'm going to try to get through Don Quixote by Miguel Cervantes this time around.

My best friend and I are both leaving for most of the summer, so we're planning on doing a book exchange so we don't have to bring/buy as many books. These are the ones we have picked out so far: The Dead Zone by Stephen King The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon The Awakening by Kate Chopin The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald God Bless You Mr. Rosewater by Kurt Vonnegut A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers and probably something by Chuck Palahniuk I'm so glad to have a close friend that has the same taste in books as me. On my own I'm also planning on reading: Harry Potter (all 7 -- every single summer) House of Stairs by William Sleator The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov Life Among Savages by Shirley Jackson The Jungle by Upton Sinclair and many more... I've been saving up all year for this summer, so I'm planning on reading as much as possible.
