I started wearing contacts when I was 15, maybe 3 times a month.I only wear contacts when I'm going out because they irritate my eyes and make them dry. I stick to glasses mainly, but they get quite annoying so I'm waiting for the day I can get laser surgery. I haven't tried coloured ones. I have friends who wear them and some can't pull them off and they look quite scary. Any advice I have is to not sleep with your contacts in!

I got contacts only a few months ago. They're very difficult at first but they get easier if you stick with them. My advice is to use tons of eye drops when getting them out!
I have normal ones, I'd like to get coloured ones but apparently they dry your eyes out even more.

I started wearing contacts when I was 13 and I've been wearing them ever since! The only thing is that now that I've got a job that involves a lot of reading, on top of my personal reading habits, I've had to switch to the ones you dispose of every 2 weeks. It's more expensive, but they're more comfortable and don't dry up so easily. I still wear my glasses at home in the morning and in the evening, but I don't like to wear them when I go out because they make my eyes look too small (my eyesight is pretty bad). If the day comes that I can't wear contacts anymore, I'll probably have eye surgery - that's how much I hate wearing glasses!

I've been wearing contacts since I was 15, when I started driving. I have the month-long disposable ones (because I couldn't remember to change mine every 2 weeks). I still wear my glasses at home and occasionally all day, but I prefer my contacts.

I got contacts when I was 13. I wear them pretty much everyday. I have the monthly disposables. The best cleaner is Clear Care. Its a hydrogen peroxide solution that you put the lenses in, and then after 6 hours it turns into regular saline solution. It does a really good job of getting all of the junk of the lenses. I had colored (aqua) contacts for about 2-3 years. I liked them, but 2 months I ago I started back up with the regular ones because I wanted a change and they look more natural. I never sleep in them- I used to do that when I was about 15. It was bad. I accidentally fell asleep in them about 3 months ago and the whole next day my eyes were so dry and sensitive I could not look at light. I had to sit in the dark for 2 days. It was not fun. Other than that, I like having contacts.

I don't, and I'm glad. I'm so lazy, and I like how I look with glasses. Plus I don't need them all the time.

I've been wearing contacts since I was 15 years old. I wear them everyday and I can sleep with them in for up to 6 days. They feel natural and I've had no problems. I hate wearing glasses. I feel like my vision is limited with glasses. I love my contacts!

I've been wearing contacts since I was 19, so for four years now. I have the kind that you wear for a month, and sleep in as well. I love it because it actually means I can see in the morning;) However, my eyes tend to dry up every now and then, so I usually take them out maybe twice a month and spend a couple of days wearing glasses.
In the beginning I had to get up like an hour earlier than normal to get my contacts in, but you'll get the hand of it pretty quickly:)

I've had mine for two years now. I have the monthly kind because they cost less than the weekly ones or the daily ones. I've only occasionally slept in them and that was by complete accident. If it's just a short hour nap then it's okay, but longer and my eyes start to feel funny.
It took my 30 minutes to stick them in when I first got them but now its like a minute and I'm done.
I've grown so attached to them that I only wear glasses when I take them out in the evening or if I'm super late for school.
Just a word of advice, stick to changing your contacts on time and don't wear them for days and days. Your optometrist totally will know by the surface of your eyes if you're taking care of your contacts or not, or so claims my doctor.

I've had contacts since I was about 13 years old. I don't necessarily mind wearing glasses (and I do wear them when I first wake up and then again in the evening) but I definitely prefer contacts. I have the kind that are supposed to last a month but in all honesty, I don't pay attention to that--when I notice that they're starting feel uncomfortable, I pop new ones in. I have the same prescription for both eyes so actually, if I notice that my left eye is uncomfortable but my right isn't, I'll change just the one. I seem to get more use out of them that way.
The only thing that bothers me, is that my sight seems to be worse than normal right after I take my contacts out in the evening. It usually lasts for a half hour or so and then they seem to readjust. Just out of curiosity, has anyone else noticed anything like that?

I got contacts few months ago. I don't wear them on winter, because my eyes dry too much and I can't get them off. I use disposable contacts and only when I have a special occesion, or I'm just so sick of wearing glasses.

I started wearing contacts because my eyes are uneven. and I mean that in the way that my right eye has terrible eye sight and my left eye just needed like.. -0,25. My left eye used to be perfectly good. But that has changed. anyway, i got lenses cos you could see the difference in my eyes, when I wore glasses. One eye would look smaller than the other one. I sometimes wore day lenses when I went to play tennis. But I switched to monthly soft lenses for everyday wear. Sometimes I fall asleep in them, but only in front of the tv or in the car or something, never for a full night. it makes my eyes really dry and I don't think it's good for your eyes anyway. I still wear my glasses, usually on sundays and sometimes in the evening.. or on other free days. I like to give my eyes some rest

I never wear contacts. But I wear glasses while working, reading, watching television... I would like to change my glasses for new one. A bit like yours, Ace (I love ray-bans). But buying new glasses is so expensive that I can afford it for still two years
