Due mostly to years of humiliation in p.e. class, I am not a huge fan of working out (in terms of just going to the gym, or playing team sports), but I love outdoor individual activities like hiking, biking, rock climbing, etc. These kinds of activities don't really seem like exercise to me, since you can focus on nature and the great outdoors as opposed to the fact that you're exercising. Plus, you get plenty of vitamin D that way and can enjoy some fresh air.

How do I like to work out? Uh, I hate working out! But, my sister-in-law is the exercise freak-of-nature and when we went to the gym together, she'd always make up crazy things for us to do - like walking backwards on an inclined treadmill, running sprints (1 min at 8mph, 1 min at 4mph, 1 min at 8mph, 1 min at 4mph, etc...). I could never walk later in the day!

I run about an hour every day or two. I've been on my school's cross-country and track teams for the past three years, so I need to stay in shape.

I wouldn't say that I'm a gym-nut, but I enjoy walking 5km a day on the treadmill. I like that I can combine watching tv like Gilmore Girls or listening to music with it, as it doesn't even feel like I'm exercising. I like to stay in shape and always feel good after exercising.

My usual reaction to work out would be somewhat similar to Lorelai or Rory's, but the truth is, I do work out. I hate team sports though, (with the one exception of basketball) so I usually hike, do pilates or do some rowing at the gym.

I usually dread working out beforehand, find it alright while I'm doing it, but then love the way I feel when I 'm done. So I just have to remember that.
Working out more is one of my resolutions, too. Now that I sit at a desk a lot and go out for lunch every day (and finding out that my metabolism at 25 is much different than 18), I need to do something to stay active and in shape.
I just joined a gym. I plan on taking a few classes and then also just doing some cardio (I could never run because I got shin splints too easily). Plus, I go to ballet class at least once or twice a week.
Dance classes are the most fun that I've ever had working out. You may want to try that.

I usually dread working out beforehand, find it alright while I'm doing it, but then love the way I feel when I 'm done. So I just have to remember that. It's so easy to forget that, right? I tend to get bored so I have tried many different forms of exercise. However, about a year ago, I decided to start running and shockingly, I'm still doing it and *gasp* I actually like it now! I've also recently tried out Jillian Michael's 30 day shred dvd (I've chronicled the experience on my vox) and it was very painful but strangely pleasurable! Whatever form of exercise you do, it's much easier to stick with it if you have a working out buddy... That way, you can push and motivate each other...

I like to workout, but I have to push myself to find the time. Thankfully it's beach season so I'm getting a lot of exercise in without really trying. Other than that I like using my eliptical trainer or doing a step or pump class at the gym. It's my resolution this year to push myself harder though, I have to make myself fit exercise in.

I like to workout, but I have to push myself to find the time. same here. I tend to prefer outdoor activities, I joined a gym for three months last year but I didn't like it that much. I love walking so I tend to walk instead of taking my car or a bus, I really enjoy the 10 minutes walk to get to the library. I also like to cycle but I never do it in Winter, I could get a exercise bicicle though. I want to exercise more this year and, after reading bookworm's experience with 30 days shred, I'm thinking to try it. I used to go running but I stopped when I moved here, everyone found funny that I stopped after moving to countryside (from the city) but I just couldn't find a nice running track here.

I pretty much share Lorelai and Rory's feelings when it comes to working out, I really, really don't like it! I walk to work every day and that's about it. I do enjoy hiking or going snowshoeing but I'd call that an activity more than a workout since I don't do it that often. I might enjoy it more if I had a workout buddy, but none of my friends are into sports either

I don't like team sports and the gym...I get so bored!I love running and pilates but I like to vary my work out and I like too when I can combine watching tv or listening to music with it. Also I love walking, I use the car only when is absolutely necessary and I walk at least an hour per day and I often go to uni by bicicle (I'm lucky because I live in the city centre so I can walk or cycle everywhere!) I'm not a huge fan of working out but it really helps me, not only to stay fit but also to relanx, I always feel better after!

Yes! I picked up running last spring and after a few unscheduled breaks (illness, injury) I am raring to get back at it! If only the stupid weather would cooperate! I rode horses for seven years and am also picking that back up. In October of last year I started playing volleyball at open gyms and joined a meetup group for volleyball since I played in high school. It's a ton of fun and great exercise and I can't wait to try new stuff such as swimming (never passed swimming!) and rock climbing when I have more money.
