And of course we few (we happy few) know that none other than Miss Rory Gilmore helped him win! Lorelai must be so proud today. Hahah I thought of that too! I was thinking about how her job will be wrapping up soon and wondering what she'll do next. Haha - I'm obsessed.

I'm glad Obama won, it's definately time for a change and some fresh ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens under his leadership.
Not that it's all about race, but I think it's really great that a country like America in which race can be a really big divide finally has its first black president. It must be mindblowing and a really powerful feeling for black people who can remember not being permitted to vote.

Not that it's all about race, but I think it's really great that a country like America in which race can be a really big divide finally has its first black president. It must be mindblowing and a really powerful feeling for black people who can remember not being permitted to vote. ;D I'm excited at how far we've come, too, but I'd like to point out that technically, African Americans (men) have been allowed to vote since the year 1870 (although some states tried to stop them by using literacy tests as late as the 1960s).
