I was looking through some blogs, and one guy had asked this question, and I thought; hey, that's relevant for the bookclub.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm ashamed to say that I have never read Anna Karenina.

I'm not ashamed about not having read anything (I'm not sure how the grammar in that sentence works out... it looks funny), because I'm still young.
I was ashamed not to have read The Catcher in the Rye, but I finally read it a few months ago, and I loved it.

If you would ask 3 or 4 years ago I would have a very long list. I've been reading a lot more since I finished school and I don't have to read any more. I'm ashamed I haven't read Gomorra by Roberto Saviano yet (but my brother recently bought it and I'll solve that soon), Vanity Fair and The Importance of Being Earnest (especially the last one, since I loved two exctracts I read for English Lit at school, but never read the whole story...very ashamed of that... ).

I can't think any specific book, but I'm ashamed to say I have read only one book what is written by Finnish author on last two years. So I should try to read more books of my own country.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't read War and Peace and Anna Karenina yet... I was planning on reading them earlier this year but somehow I stil haven't got to it... And I could probably think of more must-read books that I haven't read yet...

I am embarrased that I have never read anything by Goethe, which I probably should, because I am from Germany...

I have not read Pride and Prejudice, or any book by Jane Austen. I just can't bring myself to do it.
I have also attempted to read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck on several occasions and put it down almost immediately. It's such a short book I shouldn't have any problem reading even if it were boring! That's embarrassing too.

You didn't miss much besides a sad story with a sucky ending (yes, sucky. Excuse my language, I'm feeling a little immature tonight).

Seriously it's one of my favorite books...

My list is HUGE! I started late when it came to reading. Wasn't a fan of it when i was younger, only fell in love with reading near the end of highschool. So, im ashamed that i have not read any of the classic children novels (ann of green gables, the diary of anne frank, the chronicles of narnia, etcetc)

I'm never really embarassed not to have read something, as there are so many wonderful books out there that it's impossible to have read them all or even close to at my age. But two classics I really must get around to reading Pride and Prejudice (which I haven't read because I've seen so many film/tv versions that I FEEL like I have) and To Kill a Mockingbird.

I'm ashamed to say that I keep saying that I'm going to read War & Peace or Anna Karenina (I was going to bring one of them on vacation a month ago and didn't) but I just can't make it past the first 3 pages. So shameful! BUT, once I DO actually read one of them, I will be the proudest person...ever!
